WIRED BLANKETS

A basalt wired blanket (BWB) is unique material regarding its heat-insulating properties. It is based on a thin or super-thin fiber made from rocks subject to special heat treatment.

The heat-insulating wired blanket of basalt fiber is non-combustible, environmentally friendly material.

Due to its technical characteristics, wired blankets are successfully used as reliable fire protection and heat insulation of welded joints of gas and oil pipelines.

  • Wired blanket without facing

    Owing to their unique thermal insulation properties and convenient flexibility, wired basalt mats are widely used to reduce heat losses in different oil and gas pipelines, other pipelines, as well as in air conditioning, smoke removal and ventilation systems. Manufactured without adding any adhesives. The fibers are retained by natural adhesion forces without adhesives. This gives basalt mats their high environmental protection value because they do not contain any harmful or lethal-hazard substances. To preserve the shape and prevent the fibers from falling apart, the mats are sewn with heatable threads in the longitudinal direction.
  • With metal mesh coating

    Manufactured from basalt fibers by means of sowing with fiberglass threads or basalt roving with large spacing. Mats on metal meshes are very simple and convenient for installation. Mat edges can be easily linked together by pulling wire between mesh cells. Can be installed on and removed from thermal-insulated objects multiple times. Used as fire protection material for oil and gas pipelines, building and utilities facilities, to expand the limits of fire resistance of metal structures and air ducts; as a fire safety separation layer in buildings and structures; thermal insulation of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • With one-side foil facing

    Used for thermal insulation, sound insulation, fire protection of flat, cylindrical and shaped surfaces in industrial and utility equipment. The mats have one-side facing from non-reinforced aluminum foil serving to reduce thermal radiation steams and galvanized steel mesh significantly simplifying installation.
  • With industrial fabric facing (fiberglass, basalt or silica fabrics)

    Mats with industrial fabric facing consist of layers of super thin spun basalt fibers linked together by natural adhesion without any added adhesives, sewn with basalt or fiberglass threads. Wired basalt mats with facing from silica fabric, fiberglass fabric or basalt fabric are produced with facing on one, two or all sides of different sizes and thicknesses.
    Designed for use as thermal insulation of oil and gas pipelines, in construction of industrial and civil buildings and structures, industrial and energy equipment, chemical and petrochemical equipment, boilers and boiler rooms. Also, the material can be used for raising the structural fire resistance limits of steel air ducts in ventilation and smoke removal systems.
